SUMMARY:Office Hours: Transportation and Social Engagement
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC)\, the engAGED September Office Hours call will focus on transportation and social engagement. Participants will hear from NV Rides on how its network of volunteer driver programs helps older adults stay socially engaged and connected. engAGED and NADTC will also highlight resources to support your social engagement and transportation work. The call will include time for group discussion and allow attendees to exchange ideas\, resources and tips. \nAttendance will be capped at 30 participants\, so RSVP to Ali Fehlhaber (afehlhaber@usaging.org) as soon as possible to claim your space!

DESCRIPTION:Join engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults for a webinar September 19\, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST focused on social engagement for people living with dementia. During the webinar\, Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center will provide a framer on social isolation and loneliness among people living with dementia. Pima Council on Aging and Gateway Geriatric Education Center will then highlight programs and interventions that help people living with dementia and caregivers stay socially engaged. All speakers will share tips for organizations to develop\, implement and sustain these social engagement opportunities.
