SUMMARY:Economic Justice for Aging Communities
DESCRIPTION:This session will focus on economic justice challenges and solutions for older adults. They include ways to measure economic security\, as well as the impact of income\, housing\, transportation\, health care\, long-term services and supports and food on the economic security of older adults. The webinar will include suggestions for engaging in client-level advocacy as well as broader advocacy to promote economic justice for older adults. \nParticipants in this webinar will be able to:\n\nDefine economic justice\nIdentify the role of housing\, health care\, LTSS\, nutrition and transportation in economic security\nIdentify the role of advocacy in promoting economic justice\n\nPresenters:\nLynn Kimball\, MSW\, is the executive director of Aging and Long-Term Care of Eastern Washington\, an Area Agency on Aging that serves a mix of urban and rural counties in Washington State.
