This data brief, part of a series based on the USAging Aging and Disability Business Institute’s 2023 CBO–Health Care Contracting Survey Data Snapshot, highlights how CBOs are increasingly leveraging Medicare Part B billing codes—like Chronic Care Management and Transitional Care Management—to enhance their impact. The data brief includes data on trends in billing Medicare, the most commonly provided services and how CBOs bill them.
In addition, the Aging and Disability Business Institute has updated its Resource Guide on becoming a Medicare Fee-For-Service provider. Developed in partnership with the National Council on Aging, the Resource Guide provides information on the new Medicare Part B services—such as Community Health Integration, Principal Illness Navigation and Caregiver Training Services — what is required to bill them, and other considerations that CBOs should think about in deciding whether to become a Medicare provider.
